About Me

My name is Cedric Unholz and I am a 25 year old Strength & Conditioning coach and Manual Therapist based in Vancouver, Canada. I have also played rugby at both international (Switzerland) and elite club level (Scotland) and have dedicated myself to the pursuit of improving athletic performance and continuing my education as both a coach and therapist.
I currently work as a Strength & Conditioning coach at Simon Fraser University. Prior to this I was an S&C coach and Manual Therapist for the Scottish Rugby Union (National Age-Grade Program) and Edinburgh Rugby, in addition to being a manual therapist to the senior men’s 2011 Rugby World Cup squad.

No BS here.
I hold a Bachelors (Honours) degree in Applied Sports Science from The University of Edinburgh, and a Masters degree in Strength & Conditioning from Edith Cowan University (Perth, Australia) which I completed in May 2009 and December 2010 respectively.
I am also a certified Manual/Myofascial Therapist. In addition, I hold a Level 2 UK Strength and Conditioning Association (UKSCA) certificate.
In this blog I will be addressing topics such as strength and conditioning training, nutrition, my philosphy of training as well as presenting various ideas from some of the great minds and friends in the business that influence my thoughts and have continue to teach me.
This site is intended for the weekend warrior, the athlete, the coach, the therapist, and anyone in between with an interest in the human body and improving its performance. In addition, it will aspire to help people reach their training goals, whatever they may be, by presenting ways to train smart and effectively (as well as cutting through some of the BS that dominates most areas of the industry and cheat people out of the results they deserve).
I encourage you to check out the recommended blogs, websites and materials as these all have been instrumental in helping me continue my education, as well as present thoughts by people who are true greats of the game, and live for getting people bigger, stronger, faster and better.
All the best,
Cedric
